This spoon back nursing chair was in rough shape but I had a vision and now it sits proudly for others to admire. It was stripped down to the wooden frame and built back up with new webbing, burlap, foam, and Dacron, and then finally covered in a beautiful vintage pink and red floral chintz. The fabric was found in a second hand store as custom curtains. After carefully taking the curtains apart and cleaning everything, it sat waiting for the perfect chair to cover. When I was finally ready to tackle this chair I knew exactly what fabric to use. The wood was dark and heavy looking, not at all what this bright cheerful fabric deserved, so I chose a soft pink to lighten and brighten everything up. The curves of the chair are highlighted with custom double piping trim in the same fabric to give a professional look.
